Extreme cold led to school cancellations across the state on Tuesday, reports MPR News. Wind chills are expected to reach 30 to 40 below zero in places.

Via KSTP: Police and sergeant unions in Plymouth made a vote of no confidence in the police chief last week, according to the city.

Jennifer Lewerenz at KNSI is reporting the University of Minnesota has given the group Communities United Against Police Brutality the Outstanding Community Service Award. The Minnesota Peace and Police Officers Association called the move “shocking and inappropriate,” labeling the CUAPB “an extremist organization that spreads misleading and harmful narratives about law enforcement.”
