Here’s a closer look at just a few of the breakout sessions we’ll be offering this year:
Hope and Purpose for Minnesota’s Climate Future
Amidst potential devastation from climate change, Senior DNR Climatologist Kenny Blumenfeld and Change Narrative founder Jothsna Harris will discuss how to hold hope and purpose against feelings of climate dread — and why that particularly matters here in Minnesota.
In Conversation with Mayor Jacob Frey
Post-pandemic struggles facing downtown Minneapolis will have effects that reverberate far beyond the urban core and building owners, with impacts on housing development and affordability across the region. In conversation with Axios Twin Cities’ Nick Halter, the mayor of Minnesota’s largest city will discuss the challenges and opportunities he sees for the future.
One-on-One with Timberwolves CEO Ethan Casson
In 2023, the Timberwolves ignited excitement across Minnesota with their first run to the Western Conference Finals in two decades. Legendary MinnPost Timberwolves writer Britt Robson goes one-on-one with Timberwolves Ethan Casson to discuss his eight years as the franchise’s top executive, the upcoming season and what the Bring Ya Ass! phenomenon was like from the C-suite.
Britt will also be hosting a meet-and-greet, and you’ll have a chance to meet other MinnPost reporters and columnists including Peter Callaghan, Bill Lindeke and Ana Radelat. Visit the Festival website to see a full list of confirmed speakers.
We hope you’ll join us in downtown Minneapolis on Sept. 28!
